YouTube will begin to experiment with recent generative AI features, the corporate announced today. As a part of the premium package available to paid subscribers, YouTube users will find a way to check out a recent conversational tool that uses AI to reply questions on YouTube’s content and make recommendations, in addition to check out a recent feature that can summarize topics within the comments of a video.
Each features will grow to be available through YouTube’s hub for brand new experiments, youtube.com/recent, on an opt-in basis. The conversational tool will arrive in the following few weeks while the subject summarization tool will begin testing only with a small group of users who enroll for the experiment through the web site.
Explains YouTube, the traditional tool’s responses might be generated by large language models that draw on information from YouTube and the online and are designed to assist viewers “dive in deeper” to the content they’re watching.
