Reportedly, over the past 18 months, the Biden administration has been discussing ways to deal with security issues related to the cloud computing sector of Chinese technology giants similar to Alibaba and Huawei.
It’s explained that there have been discussions about whether these Chinese cloud firms could apply stricter regulations when operating services in america and the right way to reply to the overseas growth of those firms.
It is usually said that the US side has contacted domestic cloud firms similar to Google, Microsoft (MS), and Amazon to raised understand how Chinese cloud firms operate.
Cloud computing refers to a service during which an organization or organization receives software and other IT resources from specialized firms through the Web as a substitute of constructing its own computer system. It serves as a crucial engine behind the digital economy, enabling services similar to video streaming and, specifically, enabling firms to run artificial intelligence (AI) programs.

Earlier in April, nine Republican senators sent a letter to the Biden administration, urging Chinese cloud computing firms similar to Alibaba, Huawei, Tencent, and Baidu to control them, saying they were a threat to national security.
In line with sources, the US Commerce Department is reportedly considering creating stricter rules to control Chinese cloud providers to limit technology that would pose a threat to national security.
The State Department also said it was starting to develop a technique to deal with US concerns about Chinese cloud computing providers with other countries.
Sam Sacks, a cyber policy researcher on the Recent America Think Tank, identified that the US authorities’ interest in cloud computing reflects the Biden administration’s approach to the growing influence of China in cloud computing infrastructure.
