Naver Connect Foundation (Chairman Cho Kyu-chan) announced on the sixth that it is going to be recruiting participants for ‘Python Education for High School Students’ until February eighth.

This program, which goals to expand digital education opportunities to bridge the SW education gap, is aimed toward middle and highschool students whose household income is lower than 50% of the usual median income. Tuition is totally free. Chosen trainees can construct basic knowledge of Python for 14 weeks starting February twenty first.

Professor Kim Hyeong-joo of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Seoul National University will function a lecturer. Along with a scientific curriculum, you can too receive individual mentoring from a practical assistant. Study aids akin to laptops are also provided.

As such, the Naver Connect Foundation is working an education program within the SW field. Representative examples include ▲Free software learning platform ‘Boost Course’ ▲SW-Artificial Intelligence (AI) practical engineer training course ‘Boost Camp’ ▲Software creation education platform ‘Entry’.

To be able to resolve the digital education gap, specialized programs akin to 'Doran Doran Junior School', which is able to support SW education for young children, have been prepared starting in 2022.

Gyu-chan Cho, Chairman of the Naver Connect Foundation, said, “The importance of software and coding is increasing, and the gap in digital education continues to deepen.” He added, “We are going to proceed to work actively with a way of mission to be sure that people can receive SW education without financial burden.”
