Tesla CEO Elon Musk has established a man-made intelligence (AI) developer to counter Open AI. Elon Musk is the one who insisted last month that ‘let’s temporarily suspend cutting-edge AI development for six months’. Once more, it appears to be a move worthy of being at the middle of controversy.

Plenty of foreign media outlets, including the Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times, reported on the fifteenth (local time), citing government documents from the U.S. state of Nevada, that Musk founded an AI startup, X.ai, with property manager Jared Birchal.

Although the aim of multinational was not stated within the documents, experts presume it as an AI development company to fight open AI. Musk founded OpenAI with Sam Altman and others in 2015, but withdrew in 2018 attributable to conflicts of interest related to AI research.

Recently, it has been reported that Musk is contacting investors while recruiting engineers to ascertain an AI startup. The Wall Street Journal also reported that Musk recently hired Igor Babushkin, a former researcher at Deep Mind.

Experts listen to the word ‘X’ and estimate that it is expounded to the super app that Musk has been referring to. Musk has mentioned the necessity for a brilliant app that gives comprehensive functions equivalent to social media, product payment, and distant vehicle calling.
