Linos, which was acquired by Polaris Office Group, modified its name to Polaris AI and announced on the 14th that it passed agenda items reminiscent of appointment of latest directors, change of name, and addition of business purpose at a rare general meeting of shareholders.

Chairman Cho Sung-woo and Polaris Office CEO Ji Jun-kyung, who had previously been answerable for Polaris Office Group, were appointed as internal directors.

Ji Jun-kyung, CEO of Polaris Office, also serves as CEO of Polaris AI. As well as, Byun Ji-woong, who has experience within the Samsung SDS and Samsung Electronics MX divisions, was appointed as executive director and head of the ICT Business Division (Vice President).

To the business purposes, ▲product service development and provide using artificial intelligence (AI) and massive data technology, ▲artificial intelligence solution application device research, development and provide, etc. were added, and non-profit items were deleted.

Polaris Office Group plans to create synergy with Polaris AI based on the creation AI application and document software technology of its core affiliate, Polaris Office. We plan to ascertain an 'AI Convergence Research Institute' centered around Polaris Office and cooperate with Polaris AI's ICT division and its subsidiary PowerVoice, a voice AI specialist company.

CEO Ji Jun-kyung said, “This 12 months, corporations, public institutions, and financial institutions are actively considering the introduction of generative AI to enhance work productivity.” He added, “We’re engaged within the voice AI and system construction business with Polaris Office, which has AI document solution capabilities. “We are going to expand B2B and B2G services through linking with Polaris AI.”

He then emphasized, “Polaris Uno and Polaris Sewon, that are evaluated as low PBR (price-to-book-asset ratio) stocks despite having stable business performance and financial soundness, will improve the general corporate value and financial soundness of the group as the primary and second largest shareholders.”
