KT Cloud leads digital transformation with AI/Cloud/IDC

KT Cloud presented a growth strategy centered on artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, and Web Data Center (IDC) in celebration of its first anniversary. Through this, it’s a method to steer the market as a pacesetter in digital transformation (DX).

KT Cloud (CEO Dong-sik Yoon) held the ‘KT Cloud Summit 2023’ on the Grand Intercontinental Seoul Parnas on the 18th and shared technology trends and visions while announcing such strategies.

The event consisted of three keynotes and three tracks and 30 specialized sessions under the theme of ‘AI Cloud for Digital Business Innovation, Cloud, IDC Industry’. The most recent technologies and services were also exhibited.

In a keynote speech on the theme of ‘Your Next DX journey with AI, Cloud, IDC’, KT Cloud CEO Yoon Dong-sik said, “Creating latest business opportunities within the era of massive AI and preparing for digital disasters. and the importance of resilient infrastructure for business continuity is being emphasized.”

He also took the case of Scatter Lab’s AI chatbot ‘Iruda’ and introduced HAC, an AI infrastructure service that applied the world’s first multi-dynamic allocation technology, reducing the resource, cost, and time burden of super-large AI development and learning. We shared ways to beat it.

He also emphasized the importance of IDC’s geographical distribution, dual/dualized facilities, one-IDC network connection, and the importance of realizing a versatile and versatile digital infrastructure based on HCX (Hyper Connectivity Exchange) that connects the cloud, IDC, and on-premise.

Within the second keynote, Hwang Jong-seong, president of NIA, introduced ‘Digital Platform Government Core Infrastructure: Cloud Government Policy and Direction’. They shared the federal government’s emphasis on ‘cloud conversion in the private and non-private sectors’, ‘K-Cloud Project’ and ‘SaaS-centered SW industry redesign’.

Next, Bae Soon-min, director of the AI2XL Research Center on the KT Institute of Convergence Technology, predicted, “The super-giant AI model will lead the expansion of the cloud market as an infrastructure and platform that already has a ripple effect in itself.”

The keynote was followed by a complete of 30 sessions, including AI, IDC, public, SaaS, DaaS (Desktop as a Service), DR, and DX (Digital Transformation) in three tracks.

On the KT Cloud exhibition booth, massive AI computing, which provides large-scale GPU resources on a pay-as-you-go basis for the event of ultra-large AI models, and DR service, which introduces various sorts of backup environments desired by firms, attracted attention.

CEO Yoon said, “This event is a meaningful event where skilled industry officials gathered to share technologies and techniques, and to substantiate mutual growth with partners and the vision of the ecosystem.” We are going to lead the DX industry in Korea,” he explained the meaning of the event.
