A lady in her twenties with quite a few followers on social networking services (SNS) created a voice chatbot modeled after her and launched it as a paid service, drawing attention. Greater than 1,000 men are currently using it, and it has already generated greater than $70,000 in beta testing.

In keeping with a Fortune report on the tenth (local time), Karyn Marjorie, a 23-year-old woman with 1.8 million followers on Snapchat, created a chatbot called ‘Karin AI’ and charges $1 per minute. Citing income statements provided by Marjorie’s business manager, Fortune reported that the service earned $71,610 in a single week from customers who were 99 percent male. Marjorie said she expects 20,000 of her Snapchat followers to enroll in the service, making $5 million a month in revenue.

Fortune said that after using the service in practice, it felt more like “intimate Siri (Apple’s voice assistant)” than a “virtual girlfriend.” It could possibly also offer recipes, news commentary, and pep talk, but it may possibly also offer “erotic discourse” and detailed sexual scenarios.

Marjorie said she knew the chatbot could put her in one other danger because she had real life experience with a stalker showing up in her house before. He subsequently clarified that he’s under 24-hour security service and is not going to share his location with subscribers.
