Hancom Academy (CEOs Jong-heon Kim and Gwang-heon Lee), specializing in edutech, announced on the fifth that it signed an MOU for cooperation in education business with M-Line Studio (CEO Hee-deok Ahn), specializing in XR (prolonged reality) metaverse content platform development.

Hancom Academy is leading the sector of 4th Industrial Revolution technology education, including artificial intelligence (AI), based on its expertise and experience. M-Line Studio possesses XR solution capabilities comparable to VR (virtual reality), AR (augmented reality), and metaverse.

Through this collaboration, Hancom Academy plans to expand its education business to the XR field and strengthen its curriculum.

Kim Jong-heon, CEO of Hancom Academy, said, “By combining the tutorial know-how and technological capabilities of each corporations, we are going to have the ability to create quite a lot of leads to the education market.” He added, “We are going to use this as a possibility to introduce XR technology into the tutorial field, innovate the training experience, and create a recent business model.” “We are going to develop it,” he said.

Hancom Academy recently merged with 'Genie K', an AI-based Korean language education business corporation, and expanded its business to incorporate global education for foreigners. We’re expanding the goal and scope, comparable to providing junior coding education to cultivate future digital talent beyond the specialized education centered on corporate IT staff, which we had previously focused on.
