Gwangju Technopark (Director Kim Young-jip) announced on the first that it has began recruiting business execution organizations to disseminate and spread medical artificial intelligence (AI) solutions in 2023.

This project, a part of ‘K Health’ supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Gwangju City, will run until December fifteenth.

To begin with, by the top of this month, we’re recruiting supply firms with medical AI technology and medical institutions in demand to utilize them. By the top of July, the corporate plans to finalize the supplying company and the hospital in demand through deliberation resembling presentation evaluation and marketing strategy review.

Medical AI solutions are classified into ▲cloud type ▲hospital construction type. The cloud type supports as much as 100 million won per solution, and the hospital construction type supports as much as 40 million won. The whole budget is 800 million won, and about 10 solutions will probably be chosen.

The aim of this project is to spread medical AI solutions to medical institutions in Gwangju, analyze their effects, and lay the groundwork for dissemination to all regions of Korea based on the outcomes of introduction and verification. Specifically, the aim is to enable hospitals and clinics to scale back medical costs while increasing the accuracy of medical services by utilizing AI diagnosis support services.

Already, Chonnam National University Hospital and Chosun University Hospital are using 21 AI diagnostic solutions, including lung disease diagnosis, through K-Health.

Through this project, Gwangju Technopark plans to gather usage effects and satisfaction levels from hospitals and clinics to confirm the effectiveness of medical AI solutions. As well as, it plans to research the accuracy of medical AI and discover requirements for solution improvement.
