It has been reported that Google has begun developing an ‘artificial intelligence (AI) agent’. DeepMind, led by CEO Demis Hassabis, is answerable for this, and the co-founder of a startup specializing in AI agents can be known to have joined.

The Information reported on the eighth (local time) that Google has assigned a dedicated team to DeepMind to develop AI agents, including Anmol Gurathi, co-founder of Adept AI.

In line with this, Google is understood to have chosen AI agents as considered one of its next goals after launching 'Gemini Ultra' early this 12 months. CEO Sundar Pichai expressed this in an interview immediately after the launch of Gemini.

AI agent development is handled by DeepMind, which built Gemini. As well as, Gulati's Adept AI, which joined this time, is an organization that has already attracted great attention by announcing that it is going to develop AI agents starting in 2022.

DeepMind suffered from problems creating Gemini images, however it was also identified that this was not solely DeepMind's responsibility. Although DeepMind is answerable for developing Gemini, it’s a distinct organization inside Google that tests and distributes it.

Although Google integrated its subsidiary DeepMind to develop Gemini, it’s identified that internal problems haven’t been completely resolved, as seen within the Gemini incident.

Nonetheless, The Information identified that “Google is an organization with the world's best expert group, powerful infrastructure, and a user base that may put it to use.”

Meanwhile, CEO Hassabis' goal can be to develop artificial general intelligence (AGI). He has reorganized the organization for the reason that development of Gemini and is understood to be developing a recent benchmark with a special deal with AGI.

Along with OpenAI and Adept, representative corporations currently known to be developing AI agents include Sierra, run by former Salesforce CEO Brett Taylor.
