It has been reported that Deep
Bloomberg reported on the twenty sixth (local time) that DeepX secured 60 billion won in funding from Skylake Equity Partners and 30 billion won in funding from existing investor Timefolio Asset Management.
Moreover, an anonymous informant reported that DeepX is in final discussions with other investors to secure a further 30 billion won by next month. It is thought that the corporate's value was estimated at around 700 billion won.
Regarding this, a DeepX official said, “It’s true that discussions are currently underway, but we cannot disclose specific details.”
He added, “Once the investment is confirmed, the official announcement shall be made around next month.”
DeepX won three innovation awards at 'CES 2024' last January, and attracted attention by introducing 'DX-H1', an AI semiconductor with greater than 10 times higher power-to-power efficiency in comparison with existing GPUs.
Specifically, this 12 months, the corporate plans to develop an on-device AI semiconductor that shows performance at the extent of a big language model (LLM) on personal devices and has an operating power of only a number of watts (W), and can introduce it within the second half of next 12 months.
