South Fork Wind, America's first commercial-scale offshore wind farm, officially began operations last week.

The AP recently reported that the facility plant began supplying energy to the local power grid on the 14th, with Recent York Governor Cathy Hocal and U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Harland in attendance.

Based on this, this project, installed offshore 56km off Long Island, Recent York, was jointly developed by Danish wind energy developer Orsted and American utility company Eversource.
