In the US, a survey found that 60% of firms acknowledged the high productivity of generative artificial intelligence (AI) but were hesitant to introduce it straight away. 60% of firms predict that it is going to take one to 2 years to introduce generative AI into their business.

TechCrunch reported on the twenty sixth (local time) that consulting specialist KPMG USA conducted a survey of 225 executives of US firms last month, saying, “Many firms are intentionally delaying the introduction of generative AI.”

In line with this, the most important reason is that they don’t have the talents, personnel, and regulations mandatory to successfully implement generative AI. Greater than 50% of respondents cited lack of ability as the explanation.

Particularly, it’s difficult to maintain up with recent technological advances. “Generative AI is moving so fast that executives’ heads are spinning,” said Todd Lore, head of technology consulting at KPMG USA.

It was also identified as an issue that there has not yet been a transparent success story within the early days of generative AI.

“Firms don’t yet have a uniform method for evaluating large language models (LLMs), and it is just not clear learn how to quantify the return on investment (ROI),” said Rohit Gupta, founding father of AuditoriaAI.

Experts said that errors in generative AI or information leaks may be solved generally with a technical approach. Nonetheless, it was identified that hesitation within the face of newness and powerful features is a typical feature.

Mohamed Cande, US general manager and co-leader of PwC, said, “Adoption of generative AI in enterprises doesn’t occur overnight. You will not get it any faster than anyone else.”
