Composer Bae Seung-hyuk emphasized, “Within the K-pop market, when a composer presents a song to a management company, a ‘guide vocal’ is very important, however it costs a whole lot of money to recruit and record this vocalist.” He added, “If we use AI presently, we will drastically reduce the recruiting time and price.”

In other words, the reason is that costs will be significantly reduced through the strategy of having the composer sing the song directly after which converting it to an AI voice.
