On the 18th, Yeosu Mayor Ki-myeong Jeong, invited by the Yeosu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, gave a special lecture on the subject of ‘Direction of the eighth popularly elected municipal administration and understanding of the Yeosu National Industrial Complex’ for about 200 residents and officials of the Yeosu National Industrial Complex.
Mayor Jeong promised Yeosu’s step forward through the Yeosu Bay Renaissance and the successful hosting of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo to appreciate “Yeosu, a phenomenal port on the southern coast.” As well as, it was announced that the Yeosu National Industrial Complex’s petrochemical-centered industry shall be converted right into a low-carbon, eco-friendly recent industry to strengthen the economic complex’s competitiveness.
Mayor Jeong continued, “We’ll deal with 10 key policies for citizen welfare and revitalization of the local economy through the remaining 8 terms of popular election, and requested continued interest and cooperation from residents and industrial complex officials.”
