Meta’s ‘Thread’ set a record of surpassing 100 million subscribers inside 5 days of its launch. It significantly renewed the record of ‘Chat GPT’, which exceeded 100 million users in two months.

TechCrunch reported on the ninth (local time), citing data from Quiver Quantative, a knowledge evaluation specialist, that ‘Thread’, launched by Meta as a ‘Twitter’ counterpart, exceeded 100 million subscribers in 5 days.

In response to this, Thread surpassed 30 million views on the primary day of release, followed by 70 million views on the second day. It reached 80 million on the third day, and set a record of approaching 100 million with 93 million on the fourth day. At around 4:00 pm on the tenth, Korea time, he vomited the spirit of breaking through 100 million people.

It is a record that far exceeds the record of ChatGPT reaching 10 million every day users in 40 days and 100 million monthly users in two months. In fact, because it has only been in service for five days, it’s essential to keep watch over the trend, but some analyze that catching up with Twitter, which has 350 million users, is just not only a dream.

Together with the rapid signup of users, topics are also pouring in.

Reuters identified that the thread was flooded with every kind of posts, including Illuminati conspiracy theories and articles in regards to the “billionaire satanist”, comparing opponents to Nazis and arguing about sexual identity.

Regarding this, Meta said, “We won’t apply the fact-checking program that was applied to social media to threads,” and said that ‘friendly accessibility’ is a priority.

As well as, Thread subscribers are appearing one after one other in Europe, where the official launch of the service was delayed because of privacy concerns. These included Real Madrid soccer player Camavinga, German soccer team Leipzig, French soccer team Saint-Étienne, French media outlets and members of parliament.

It is understood that they downloaded the thread by accessing the US App Store or using an APK used to download an app that is just not on the Google Play Store.

As well as, there was an evaluation that it was difficult for Twitter to weave a meta on charges of stealing trade secrets. Legal experts identified that although several corporations have accused competitors of employing ex-employees of getting similar products with stolen trade secrets, few cases have been substantiated.

Immediately after the discharge of the thread, Twitter sent a letter threatening legal motion to Meta, demanding ‘immediate motion’, but has not yet filed a criticism.
