Smart Cube (CEO Lim Ji-sook), an organization specializing in metabus, sets out to construct a digital twin to enhance and manage the security of your complete cycle (production, transportation, storage, and utilization) of the hydrogen pilot city.

Smart Cube announced on the twenty fourth that it has signed a contract to produce a digital twin platform specialized for hydrogen facilities by winning the ‘Hydrogen Mega Station Digital Twin System Development Service’ project ordered through KEPCO KDN.

This project is a component of the Jeonju-Wanju Hydrogen Demonstration City project, by which KEPCO KDN is participating. Smart Cube develops digital conversion software for an integrated safety control center that allows distant management of hydrogen charging, power generation, supply and demand facilities. The project is predicted to start out this month and be accomplished by the tip of June.

This software is a customized version of Smart Cube’s digital twin solution ‘CubeTwin’ based on the framework of the metaverse platform ‘Wild’ to suit hydrogen infrastructure resources. Through this, data collected from facilities and processes is analyzed, processed, and predicted through an enormous data platform. Visualize this process with 3D data to streamline operation management.

Smart Cube explains that safety managers can check and manage various infrastructures and facilities in a virtual environment in real time, in addition to reply to emergency situations. The security management manual based on various scenarios will probably be applied as a core technology that enhances safety by turning it into realistic content.

Ha Tae-won, vice chairman of Smart Cube, said, “The digital twin platform we have now is specialized in the sector of energy facilities and will be widely applied to fields resembling smart factories, smart farms, and public facilities.” It helps in decision making,” he said.

Meanwhile, Smart Cube plans to make use of this contract as a stepping stone to actively advance into the sector of renewable and eco-friendly energy facilities and manufacturing AI factories, he added.
