Gwangju City (Mayor Kang Ki-jeong) will expand the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) to autonomous districts to construct high-precision mental and spatial information.

To this end, town of Gwangju established the ‘Comprehensive Operation Plan for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drone) in 2023’, and conducted aerial photography, orthophoto production, 3D modeling, and video production for 70 locations through demand surveys by town and autonomous districts by the top of the yr.
