Toy company LEGO operates a zero -carbon plant in Vietnam.
The Associated Press reported that Lego operated a zero -carbon toy plant price $ 1 billion (about 1.48 trillion won) in an industrial complex near Ho Chi Minh City. LEGO has announced its goal of reducing the world’s plant by 2050 and 37% of emissions by 2032.
The factory, which is operated only by 100% renewable energy by installing 12,400 solar panels on the roof of the factory built on the 44 -hectar (HA) site, is the second largest LEGO plant in Asia.
Renewable energy produced by solar light is stored within the battery energy storage device (BESS) and used for the operation of the factory.
LEGO has recently installed solar energy plants at 6 LEGO plants but to cut back greenhouse gas emissions, and has installed 22 megawatts (MW) capability since 2022. By 2025, 72%of LEGO plants world wide can operate with renewable energy, and the capability will increase to 38MW.
“The Vietnamese plant reflects the corporate’s willingness for Lego’s sustainable growth and innovation, and has a producing capability to supply a greater experience with children and fans within the Asia -Pacific region.”
While the Trump government has announced the tariff policy of China, it is predicted that the operation of the Vietnamese plant will give you the option to play a job of diversification of tariffs and production bases.
LEGO will currently operate the Dongai Castle Lego Logistics Center, which is scheduled to open for the second time in Asia within the second half of this yr, and can play a job in activating and logistics base for the availability chain of Oceania, including Southeast Asia.
