Jeollanam -do is promoting the attraction of artificial solar (fusion energy) research facilities, which is the core of future energy technology.
Jeonnam -do participated within the International Fusion Plasma Society (IFPC 2025) held on the Daejeon Convention Center until June 13, and focused on the strengths of the energy infrastructure and research environment of Jeonnam for domestic and foreign experts.
This conference is a world event where greater than 500 nuclear fusion and plasma scholars participate on the earth, and the predominant purpose is to share the newest research results and establish a cooperative network.
Jeonnam -do operated a promotion booth in the course of the event and actively introduced Jeonnam’s infrastructure and policy capabilities that might be linked to artificial solar research.
Jeonnam is constructing a superconductor test facility price KRW 49.8 billion in KENTECH, Korea Energy Institute of Energy and Technology, and is provided with a strong power industry cluster centered on Naju Light Garam Innovation City, where energy public corporations similar to KEPCO and Electric Power Exchange are gathered.
As well as, the corporate also has its own strengths because the nation’s No. 1 potential for renewable energy production similar to wind, solar and hydrogen.
As well as, Jeonnam -do continues to operate industry -academia, research and interval cooperation programs similar to the ‘Artificial Solar Forum’ and ‘Corporate Meeting’, and are striving to share the fusion R & D trends and expand the bottom of cooperation.
Kim Young -rok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, said, “The climate crisis response and energy transition are a core strategy for the survival of the country.”
Jeonnam Province plans to pay attention its capability to draw national fusion research facilities and strategic response to the creation of a clean energy industry.
