Kyung Hee University selects the Ministry of Health and Welfare ‘Medical AI Convergence Talent Training Project’

Kyung Hee University (President Kim Jin -sang) announced on the fifth that it was chosen for the ‘2025 AI Specialized Convergence Talent Training Project’ organized by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Medicine, dentistry, oriental medicine, electronics and data colleges, software convergence universities, Kyung Hee Digital Cells Center, Kyung Hee Medical Center, and Medical AI Enterprise Council will cooperate with education and research. Ranging from 750 million won in the primary 12 months, the project will probably be operated with a complete of 4.75 billion won for five years.

Through this, it goals to cultivate multi -dimensional medical data specialty talent, to develop and construct intelligent convergence education system, to determine an academic environment specialized within the medical artificial intelligence, to construct a continuous system, to present certain directions, and to construct medical/artificial intelligence cooperation networks.

We are going to strengthen practical project -based education, comparable to linking with eight regional trauma centers nationwide. It also operates AI -based research flats comparable to smart research matching system and digital research sandbox.

With a purpose to complete the curriculum, various support measures comparable to completion certification system, scholarship, graduate school connection, and industry -academic projects were prepared. A complete of 140 people within the bachelor’s courses and 70 people within the master’s and doctoral courses are planned.

“We’re pursuing the implementation of AI technology that may promote the health and happiness of humanity based on humanity,” said Oh Dong -in, a professor of medical school.
