Mid -term ‘specialized competency BI support project’ Environmental activation of the startup ecosystem
Mokpo Fisheries Food Support Center (Center Director Yoon Young -seung) was finally chosen because the host organization of ‘local base -type specialized competency BI (Business Incubator)’. The middle signed an official agreement on the twenty fifth and began a full -scale project.
The ‘Regional Base -type Specialized Competency BI Development Support Project’ is a program during which the Non -capital Startup Childcare Center (BI) and the beginning -up support agency cooperate to revitalize the local startup ecosystem and systematically foster startups tailored to local characteristics.
The project might be held for as much as two years by 2026, and this 12 months’s support is 333 million won (200 million won for presidency subsidies and 133 million won for agency’s response).
The Mokpo Fisheries Food Support Center will form a consortium with Daesung Startup Investment Co., Ltd. and Jeonnam Bio Promotion Agency to foster startups based on marine resources. Specifically, the corporate goals to find the founding corporations in K-FOOD, Beauty, and Health, which utilizes marine fisheries resources, and support the worldwide market.
Through this project, the middle will provide customized programs similar to â–² start -up education, â–² technical support, â–² Investor Relations’ opportunities, and â–² commercialization support. As well as, the corporate plans to actively discover participating corporations through online and offline promotion and speed up growth.
Yoon Young -seung, director of the middle, said, “We’ll further strengthen the marine fisheries start -up ecosystem centered on Mokpo and support local startups to the worldwide market through R & D and collaboration.”

The choice of this project is predicted to be a crucial turning point for the Mokpo Fisheries Food Support Center to change into a startup hub leading the local marine fisheries industry.
