Gyeongnam, Industrial Complex Solar Promotion Council launched

Gyeongsangnam -do (Governor Park Wan -su) announced on the first that it held the primary meeting with the launch of the Gyeongnam Industrial Complex Solar Promotion Council on the Gyeongnam Headquarters of the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation.

The council was designed to extend the energy independence rate of business complexes within the province and to speed up the transition to carbon neutral society by promoting the commercial complex’s solar industry using idle sites akin to the commercial complex roof.

The Gyeongnam Industrial Complex Solar Promotion Council consists of 23 periods, including 18 cities and counties, Korea Industrial Complex Corporation, Korea South -East Power, Korea Energy Corporation, and Korea Electric Power Corporation. Gyeongnam emphasized the role of the town by sharing the policy direction and support project of the central government, discovering solar demand firms in the commercial complex, and providing rapid support for the related licensing process.

He also asked the town’s participation to expand the availability of solar energy by reviewing the deregulation of solar spaces in the commercial complex and proposing an exception to the installation of photovoltaic to the location without environmental damage.

Meanwhile, as of June last 12 months, a 271 megawatt (MW) solar energy generation facility was installed in Gyeongnam Industrial Complex as of June last 12 months, showing the primary supply within the country.

Chung Jong -yun, head of the Gyeongnam Energy Industry Division, said, “We are going to actively review the installation of solar energy that doesn’t undermine the environment in order that export firms within the province can achieve the RE100.”
