The development of a landing bridge that connects Wando -gun and Goheung -gun, Jeonnam, is predicted to make an enormous change within the lives and regional development of local residents.
Currently, to maneuver from Wando -eup to Goheung -eup, it takes about 2 hours through Jangheung and Boseong, but when the landing bridge is accomplished, this time will likely be shortened inside an hour.
Specifically, because of the completion of the landing bridge, the travel time will likely be reduced in half, and the convenience of the residents will greatly improve.
As well as, because the logistics travel time will likely be shortened, the distribution of products within the region will likely be smooth, and the rapid transportation of fresh agricultural and marine products will likely be possible.
When the coastal tourist road connecting Wando and Goheung is accomplished, the last unopened section of the southwestern coastal road is connected to further activate marine tourism.
Together with the rise of tourists, the economic ripple effect is predicted, equivalent to attracting recent investment and creating jobs.
Accessibility between neighboring areas will likely be improved, resulting in cultural and economic exchanges, and the combination of local communities will likely be promoted.
An official of Wando -gun said, “The connection project was not promoted only between Wando and Goheung sections on the southwestern coastal week.”
When the development of the landing bridge is accomplished, the convenience of the residents of Wando and Goheung will greatly improve and to bring recent vitality to the local economy and tourism industry.
