With a view to predict and stop industrial accident risk aspects, artificial intelligence (AI) technology can be promoted in manufacturing safety. The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Minister Andeok -geun Ahn) announced that it should conspire a brand new task of ‘2025 manufacturing safety advanced technology development project’.
The full amount of support is 29.8 billion won (5 years), and the support field is 10 industries, including battery and petrochemicals.
The project will develop and display manufacturing safety systems using AI based on the evaluation of accident cases by industry manufacturing fields, and to spread through manufacturing safety alliance. As a general task, it’s supported by establishing a cooperative system by industry to support research projects and research results.
From 2025 to 2029, the corporate will support the event of AI -based manufacturing safety systems for 10 major industries in manufacturing. The applying period is 33 months

An official from the Ministry of Industry said, “We are going to strengthen the security management of the domestic manufacturing industry by developing customized AI manufacturing safety systems and shift the manufacturing safety paradigm from post -response to prevention.”
