An American organization led by the previous owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers submitted a proposal to amass TikTok, which is 10 days away from service suspension. He emphasized that for this to occur, help from President-elect Donald Trump is required.

Frank McCourt, entrepreneur and former owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers, announced on the ninth (local time) that he had submitted a suggestion to amass TikTok to ByteDance.

McCourt’s Web rights advocacy group, Project Liberty, has formed a bidding consortium for TikTok (The People’s Bid). It’s reported that this includes the participation of major funds and individual investors, in addition to a plan to lift debt through debt from one in every of the biggest banks in the US. It shouldn’t be known how much the acquisition offer is, but ByteDance has confirmed that it has received it.

They announced that they’d reorganize TikTok and prioritize users’ digital safety. “Departing from TikTok’s current algorithm will save the platform and be certain that tens of millions of Americans can proceed to enjoy it,” McCourt said.

Nevertheless, it is understood that ByteDance is unlikely to simply accept this. It has also been reported that it’s technically difficult to separate TikTok from ByteDance’s system.

Due to this fact, they asked President-elect Trump for help. “We sit up for working with ByteDance, President-elect Trump, and the brand new administration to shut this deal,” he emphasized.

If TikTok shouldn’t be sold to a U.S. company by January 19, its U.S. service will likely be suspended in accordance with the TikTok law passed last 12 months.
