Google announced that it would give attention to products, including increasing the variety of ‘Gemini’ users to 500 million next yr. He also warned that it will be a difficult yr on account of regulations and intensifying competition in each country.

CNBC obtained a recording from inside Google on the twenty seventh (local time) and introduced the content presented at Google’s overall strategy meeting held before the year-end vacation on the 18th.

In line with this, Google CEO Sundar Pichai selected “constructing a large-scale recent business” as his top priority. This included naming Gemini as Google’s next app to achieve 500 million users. Google currently has 15 apps which have reached 500 million users.

“The Gemini app has grown strongly over the past few months,” Pichai said. “Expanding Gemini on the patron side shall be our biggest focus next yr.”

This exceeds the present 300 million users of ‘ChatGPT’, but is half of the 1 billion user goal for next yr announced by Open AI. CEO Pichai also acknowledged that more effort have to be made to meet up with Open AI.

“I feel we shall be on the innovative by way of performance,” he said. “We don’t all the time need to be first in history, but as a product we’ve got to be best at school, and I feel 2025 is that yr.”

Specifically, it launched several AI products in the primary half of next yr, showing its determination to take the lead in products beyond models. This includes AI agents, including ‘Project Astra’, which was recently released.

“The product itself will evolve tremendously over the subsequent yr or two,” said DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis. “It should turn out to be a universal assistant that may work seamlessly across all domains, all modalities, and all devices.”

The meeting on at the present time was mainly focused on messages warning concerning the importance and risks of 2025. Specifically, they cited the incontrovertible fact that Google is being investigated globally for its search monopoly and is facing sanctions, and that competition is becoming more intense.

CEO Pichai said, “2025 is a decisive, disruptive and high-risk moment,” adding, “We must internalize the sense of urgency and move faster. “Specifically, we must continually give attention to leveraging the advantages of technology and solving real user problems,” he reiterated.

Some employees also identified that other firms are catching up with Google in AI search. When asked whether CEO Hassabis had any plans to launch a $200-a-month plan like other firms, he responded, “I can’t say absolutely there aren’t any plans, but there aren’t any plans in the mean time.”
