OpenAI opens fifth European office in Zurich

OpenAI opened its fifth European office in Zurich, Switzerland. It has been two months since we expanded to 5 locations, including Latest York, last October, and thru this, we’re accelerating our efforts to secure talent and expand our base.

OpenAI announced this on the 4th (local time) and announced that this was its fifth European expansion after opening offices in Dublin, London, Paris, and Brussels over the past two years.

“It is because the town has emerged as a key technology hub in Europe,” said Mark Chen, senior vice chairman of research at OpenAI.

In reality, competitor Antropic expanded here two months ago. That is Antropic’s third expansion in Europe following London and Dublin.

Microsoft, Google, and Meta have also emerged as essential bases for securing technical talent, with offices in Zurich for several years now.

OpenAI announced that latest personnel to be deployed here will give attention to multimodal artificial intelligence (AI) research.

Particularly, after successfully attracting investment from Daegu Motors last October, the corporate has been expanding its size at an amazing pace. In October, latest offices were opened in Latest York, Seattle, Paris, Brussels, and Singapore, and the variety of employees, which was about 1,700 on the time, is now known to exceed 2,000.

Consequently, OpenAI now has 10 offices in 8 countries world wide.
