Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Byung-tae Yoon) announced on the twenty eighth that it held a ceremony to commemorate the completion of solar energy facilities and a rice harvesting event in the realm of the primary agricultural solar energy plant in-built Hanam Village, Namseok-ri, Nampyeong-eup.

Naju City’s first agricultural solar energy project has been promoted with contributions from Korea South-East Power as a part of ESG management practices. Solar energy facilities are managed by the Rural Community Coexistence Cooperation Fund of huge, small and medium-sized enterprises, and the Korea Agricultural and Fishery Cooperation Foundation, and the Korea Energy Foundation is in command of facility construction and operation.

All proceeds from the project are returned to the village, excluding maintenance and operation costs and landowner rent. The return proceeds amount to roughly 24 million won per 12 months and will likely be used as a village development fund so that each one residents can enjoy welfare advantages.
