A piece by ‘Ai-Da’, famous as a robot artist, appears for the primary time at Sotheby’s, the world’s most famous auction house. This painting is a portrait of Alan Turing, referred to as the ‘father of artificial intelligence (AI).’
The Independent and Day by day Mail reported on the sixteenth (local time) that Sotheby’s was holding a web based auction for Aida’s works.
This work, titled ‘AI God’, is 2.2m tall and is predicted to be sold for 100,000 to 150,000 kilos (roughly 177 to 266 million won).
Aidan Miller, founding father of Aida Robot Studio, said, “The tone and broken face of this work appear to hint on the difficulties we may have in managing AI as Turing warned,” adding, “It’s improbable and mysterious.”
Aida became famous for drawing portraits of famous singers who appeared on the Glastonbury Festival in 2022, including Billie Eilish, Diana Ross, Kendrick Lamar, and Paul McCartney. Although he has sold portraits through several exhibitions, that is the primary time he has appeared at Sotheby’s, which competes with Christie’s for the world’s best auction house.

This robot was created by AI experts from the University of Oxford and the University of Birmingham, and is well-known for wearing a wig and costume to seem like a human woman. It operates using AI algorithms, is provided with cameras for eyes, and has bionic hands in order that it may hold a brush like a human.
The Arburn auction will run from October thirty first to November seventh.
