TAP (Tech to Art Platform) (Organizing Committee Chairman Kwon Young-geol) announced that it is going to hold ‘Art Diffusion’ as a global conference prequel event on the Seoul National University Museum of Art Auditorium and Lecture Hall on the twenty ninth and thirtieth.
It’s hosted by NMARA (Recent Media Art Research Association, CEO Kim Gyeong-mi), co-organized by NMARA and Seoul National University Artificial Intelligence Art Research Center (Director Lee Gyo-gu), and cooperated with Seoul National University Culture and Arts Center.
This conference was designed as a chance to debate the opportunity of expanding the media art ecosystem. Along with domestic and foreign artists, entrepreneurs, and researchers, we explore latest artistic experiments and industrial application possibilities that mix various fields reminiscent of AI, digital media, and bio-art.
The conference consists of presentations on various topics, hackathons, and performances over two days.
Starting with the opening ceremony on the twenty ninth, there will probably be a keynote speech by Professor Hong Seong-wook titled ‘Reason and Imagination within the Age of Artificial Intelligence’ and a lecture by digital aesthetician Baruch Gottlieb, an invited foreign speaker. Then, within the afternoon, â–²a collaborative performance and presentation by bio artists Psients and Kim Jae-hwan â–²a proof of the bio industry by bio industry consultant Cho Young-guk â–²design, aesthetics, and art majors Jeong Eui-cheol, Lee Won-gon, and Kim Nam-si on the theme of Digital Bauhaus. , Professor Oh Young-jin’s presentation will probably be followed by a comprehensive discussion with moderator Professor Seon-hee Jang.
On the thirtieth, â–²General Director Kyung-mi Kim, Director of the Artificial Intelligence Art Research Center Gyo-gu Lee (Professor, Department of Intelligent Information Convergence, Seoul National University), and Artistic Director Je-seong Park of the Arts Center (Professor, Department of Visual Media Arts, College of Fantastic Arts, Seoul National University) will begin with a TAP declaration ceremony.
â–²Overseas guest speaker Paweu Janicki from Poland will introduce the WRO Art Center and Singapore’s Nice & Tees will give a lecture together with an AI film screening. Within the afternoon, Lee Ji-cheol, CEO of Giant Step, a sensible content media art company, and Lee Dong-hoon, Vice President of District, will give a lecture and debate on the subject of ‘Connectivity between art and industry.’
