Apple’s release schedule for its artificial intelligence (AI) features has turn into just a little more specific. The discharge of iOS 18.1, the primary version to support ‘Apple Intelligence’, is alleged to be in mid-October, and a very powerful update, version 18.4, is scheduled for March.

Bloomberg reported on the twenty second (local time) that if Apple completes the iOS 18.1 test with none major issues by early this week, it is predicted to be officially released in mid-October, two to 3 weeks later.

Version 18.1 was released to the general public as a beta test version last week. Prior to that, it was tested with some developers through 4 updates over the course of a couple of month.

However the essential updates are from version 18.2. This includes ChatGPT integration into Siri, Genmoji for creating emoticons, and Image Playground for creating images.

Apple’s goal is to have all of the bugs and other issues ironed out by early November and have it released in December.

Subsequent updates will follow next 12 months. The 18.3 update is scheduled for January 2025, and 18.4 is scheduled for March.

Of those, 18.4 is alleged to be a very powerful and large-scale update, containing many of the content that Apple unveiled at its Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) last June. It is understood that among the features can also be included in 18.3.

This is not the primary time Apple has delayed a product launch, nevertheless it’s unprecedented to check users’ patience with a phased rollout like this.

Bloomberg identified that “Apple remains to be making the situation worse by emphasizing AI features that cannot be used as a selling point.”

The one schedule that has been revealed this time is for the English version in the US. Korean support was only announced as being sometime in 2025, but no specific date was given.
