Taiwan’s HTC announced on the nineteenth that it has released a brand new prolonged reality (XR) headset, the ‘VIVE Focus Vision’.
The recently released Vive Focus Vision is the newest product with PCVR and standalone functions. It’s explained that it is provided with various functions to supply an immersive experience to each game users and enterprise users. It may be used for PCVR and standalone games, location-based entertainment (LBE), industrial training, collaboration, and mixed reality (MR) applications.
Key features include ▲Built-in eye tracking and automatic IPD adjustment and tracking and not using a base station ▲Lossless PCVR experience with DisplayPort mode compatibility ▲Support for stereo full color pass-through with dual 16MP color cameras ▲As much as 120-degree field of view and 90-120Hz refresh rate and 5K resolution ▲Support for business solutions.
Specifically, the DisplayPort mode compatibility feature provides lossless visuals by directly connecting to the PC’s graphics card, supporting clear and high GPU accuracy graphics and the perfect refresh rate, and is claimed to be useful for PC VR game users.
Additionally it is equipped with dual front cameras that support stereoscopic pass-through, explaining that it provides natural depth perception even in an MR environment. It added that a brand new cooling system has been added to support comfortable use for long periods of time, allowing the XR experience to proceed without interruption even when replacing the battery.
“Now, PC game users will find a way to make use of the high-end headsets utilized in VR arcades comfortably at home,” said an HTC Korea official.
Meanwhile, HTC VIVE is holding a pre-order event for the Vive Focus Vision until October seventeenth.
