Olymplaite announced on the third that it’s going to be utilizing prolonged reality (XR) solutions to expand K-heritage with Sabers Korea (CEO Jung Woo-sung) and Mallika (CEO Shin Dong-hoon).
Olymplaite plans to support cultural and artistic projects akin to the K-Heritage Art Exhibition hosted by Savers Korea and Mallika with XR platforms and cloud services. The K-Heritage Art Exhibition ‘Nakseonjae 遊_The Knot of Connection’ held at Nakseonjae in Changdeokgung Palace until the eighth can also be planned to be presented as XR content.
The K-Heritage Art Exhibition is a cultural and artistic project that features 50 traditional craftsmen and modern craft artists, including holders and trainees of intangible cultural heritage, at Naksunjae. It introduces around 80 artworks that reinterpret traditional crafts as modern art, including small tables, embroidered folding screens, celadon, arrows, traditional fans, and quilted clothes.
Olymplaite plans to provide immersive content using the Naksunjae area and the works on display at the location using the XR cloud ‘Xru’ and release it on the XR portal ‘Xromeda’ in October. You’ll find a way to enjoy your complete Naksunjae area and the exhibits from various angles with visual quality just like reality with none spatial or temporal constraints.
Shin Seung-ho, managing director of brand name management at Olymplaat, said, “XR technology is becoming essential for the expansion of the worldwide exhibition and gallery industries,” and added, “Through this agreement, we are going to proceed to make various attempts to contribute to the spread of K-heritage in order that anyone can easily enjoy exhibition content on the net and in addition access cultural values.”
