Meta, which competed with OpenAI the day before when it comes to the variety of users, has released its weekly lively user count. It has significantly narrowed the gap to 185 million, falling behind OpenAI’s 200 million.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, announced in a thread post on the thirtieth (local time) that Meta AI has 185 million weekly lively users.
“It’s growing fast, but we have not launched within the UK, Brazil or the EU yet,” he added.
That is in response to Meta’s announcement the day prior to this that it had over 400 million monthly lively users, and OpenAI responded by saying it had 200 million weekly lively users. It’s difficult to check weekly and monthly users, but there is theory that Meta is way behind.

Then, CEO Zuckerberg himself advanced. Particularly, he emphasized that while OpenAI’s ‘ChatGPT’ is being serviced worldwide, Meta AI has not yet been released in major countries.
The UK ranks third on the planet when it comes to ChatGPT user size, and Brazil is a big market with a population of over 200 million. The EU is a region that has suspended the launch of Meta AI on account of directives not to coach AI models with user data.
Subsequently, whether it is serviced here, it’s implied that it will probably surpass ChatGPT users. Currently, Meta AI is being serviced through Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc. in 22 countries. CEO Zuckerberg emphasized that “it’s going to change into the world’s most used AI assistant by the tip of this 12 months.”
Meta AI’s strength lies in its ability to serve billions of users on social media platforms. Some indicate that even a single click out of curiosity will lead to an enormous variety of lively users.
Meanwhile, Meta AI is just not available domestically.
