Root Impact-MS, Realizing AI Education Outside the Metropolitan Area with the ‘AI for Changemakers’ Program

Non-profit organization Root Impact (CEO Jaehyung Heo) announced on the twenty seventh that it has conducted artificial intelligence (AI) education in 13 regions for five months through the ‘AI for Changemakers’ program with support from Microsoft.

This program, which was held from February to June, goals to assist impact-oriented organizations equivalent to social ventures, social enterprises, and non-profit organizations increase interest in AI technology and actively put it to use of their work.

We now have prepared a 39-session educational program on topics equivalent to ▲AI strategy ▲marketing ▲content creation ▲writing ▲design, consisting of ‘Insight Talks’ by AI experts and ‘Skill-up Classes’ by topic that will be applied to practice.

Particularly, it was held in a complete of 13 regions including not only the metropolitan area but additionally non-metropolitan areas equivalent to Busan, Daejeon, Gwangju, Chuncheon, and Jeju. By expanding regional accessibility, it provided a chance for changemakers from various backgrounds to take part in the training.

Of the 742 organizations that participated in this system, 47% were situated outside the metropolitan area. That is a proof that confirms the high interest in AI nationwide. As well as, the overall variety of participants was 1,158, and 69% of them were women.

It was revealed that various levels inside the organization, including practitioners, leaders, and mid-level managers, participated within the training.

After this system ended, a survey was conducted based on 211 respondents. The utilization of AI in work increased from lower than 10% before the training to greater than half (52%) after the training. 76% of the participants also shared the training materials with their organizations and spread the educational.
