U&IT, Popularity for Educational Robot ‘RoboMaster’

In advanced technology, ‘robot’ is an indispensable field. Because it is applied to numerous industries in addition to getting used for varsity education, it’s becoming familiar no matter generation.

U&IT (CEO Seong-jae Lee) is an organization that gained popularity by introducing a robot for coding education, ‘RoboMaster,’ on the ‘AI & Big Data Show’ held at COEX in Seoul last month.

‘RoboMaster EP’, introduced at this exhibition, provides the next level of learning following ‘RoboMaster S1’. It’s a robot suitable for teaching programming and artificial intelligence (AI) within the classroom.

The robot also comes with a software development kit and scalable software and hardware. It’s also possible to offer additional support for customized curricula. Robomaster E-sports competitions are also held to advertise students’ desire to learn.

There are two types, ‘RoboMaster Blaster’ and ‘RoboMaster Engineer’.

The RoboMaster Blaster is provided with a camera, distance sensor, speaker, and intelligent controller and moves on ‘wheels’. Robomaster engineers added a ‘robot arm’ to this.

These products will also be compatible with third-party software, which is more convenient. Based on its interesting design and various functions, it’s used not only in regular classes, but in addition in lots of educational courses resembling after-school classes, special lectures, and AI camps.

The category curriculum is basically composed of three stages: robot theory education, Robomaster assembly education, and Robomaster practice education.
