Spring Cloud (CEO Song Young-gi) announced on the twentieth that it had recently passed the license test for temporary operation of self-driving cars conducted by K-City, an experimental city for self-driving cars positioned in Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, and obtained temporary permits for self-driving cars from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Because of this, Spring Cloud will give you the option to drive self-driving cars on general roads for five years until May 2028. The permitted temporary operation vehicle is Hyundai Motor Company’s ‘Staria’ model owned by Spring Cloud.
The corporate plans to develop various business models reminiscent of self-driving taxi services that operate self-driving courses in a certain section for a boarding fee.
Song Young-ki, CEO of Spring Cloud, said, “We plan to proceed to deal with research and development of assorted types and types of mobility to spread autonomous driving mobility.”
